The Birthday Bash!!!!

Hmmmm...its been some time that i promised you all about updating Sunshine`s birthday celebrations.....

Well now the wait is over....as u all know she gave me an amazing one year with her arrival....but that's not enough....she gave me a sense of responsibility family...relations...and elevated me to different high of emotions....

I needed to reciprocate in the same way to her , giving her own joyous moments along with the sense of responsibility towards others throughout her life. As we were in Bangalore, far away from family, friends & closed ones, we decided to celebrate our joy with someone who don't have privilege of being with their dear ones around them.

Our search for such a place ended when we found an Orphanage within walking distance of my house. (Thanks to Ms. PRIYANKA VERMA, volunteer at Pankhudi Foundation who helped us!!!) The celebrations were going to be simple one but with lots of joy. The idea was to bring smiles on some faces along with us. To know about kids n gel along with them, I visited the orphanage twice. Authorities at the orphanage were extremely happy as it was for the first time some one was going to celebrate a birthday at their facility. We discussed and decided to have birthday celebrations on a sunday nearing birthday.

On the day of celebration we reached the venue at 5.30, all the children were waiting for our arrival and they welcomed us with prayers and songs. We were touched by the warmth of their affection. We were accompanied with our family friends Dipti & kavit along with their 11 month old son Ansh.

Kids were happy on receiving the masks and birthday caps. Before cake cutting, we all sat down with children who sang songs n tried to amuse both Saanvi and Ansh.

Saanvi was gifted with a "Soft Toy" and she liked it (Now a days it been named as "Vinko Bear", one of her favorites).

All the children were relishing on the cake n snacks. After snacks, it was the time for return gifts. We chose colors as return gift as a gesture of our wish to fill their life with colors. They were overjoyed!! we thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with these innocent kids.

As planned celebrations were simple, but the experience on our part was enriching as every kid there was an inspiration to us to fight back problems in our comfy lives. We learnt how it is meaningless to worry over petty issues, how important it is to feel content with what you have and preserve it.

The innocence, happiness on the faces of those children were priceless and we felt so contented on that eve which will last with us for many more birthdays to come. The moments spent, and pleasure of meeting those special ones was joyous and I am sure Saanvi will be thankful to us for such wonderful birthday celebrations when she grows up.
